Zebu calf at the zoo

August 14, 2015

A zebu calf was born on July 21 at the zoo and is nursing with mom at the barn. Miniature zebus grow to reach just over 3 feet but can weigh up to 500 pounds. They are known for the small horns on top of their heads. While zebus can be various colors such as black, reddish, gray, or white, the three here all sport a light gray coat with white underneath.
