Animal Adaptations

K - Adult

What makes an animal suited for its environment? Your students will learn how adaptations help animals survive in the wild. Your guide will concentrate on physical features (like fur and feathers), as well as colors (that can warn, attract or camouflage). For older students (3rd & up), behavioral adaptations will also be introduced.

Animal Families

K - Adult

Just like people, animals have many different types of families. This tour concentrates on how animals interact with each other & how they raise their young. Your guide will introduce you to both social and solitary animals. Your students may even see some of our youngest animals!

Habitats and Ecosystems

K - Adult

Whether they live in a desert, rainforest, or on a mountain top, animals use different strategies to meet similar needs and have varying way of interacting with thier environment. Your students will be on the lookout for herbivores, omnivores and carnivores and discover the roles they play in and connections they have to each other in different ecosystems and habitats.
