Scavenger Hunts

Keep your students excited and learning while visiting the zoo! Our scavenger hunts are specifically designed for your student's developmental level and provide engaging experiences throughout the zoo. All scavenger hunts come with 5 activity worksheets (teachers may print more at school for the entire class) and container of food for the farm animals. Limit one container of food per class.

Community/Family Days are available starting at $3,000 for 250 participants. Please email ppzeducation@wcs.org to learn more about that option for your group.

Animal Homes and Habitats

In this self-guided scavenger hunt, students in kindergarten through 2nd grade will learn about different animal habitats. Explore where they live and how animals get what they need to survive. Students can set the pace for this adventure. Each self-guided program includes admission to the zoo, scavenger hunt sheets and barn food for the class.

Series Dates: Any day year round

Admission into the zoo included. These programs are for a maximum of 45 individuals (inclusion class of 35 students and 10 adults).

Using Our Senses to be Scientists

In this self-guided Scavenger Hunt, students will use their senses to make observations — just like a scientist! Students in 2nd through 5th grade can set their own pace to explore while they learn about the animals at the zoo. Each self-guided program includes admission to the zoo, scavenger hunt sheets, and barn food for the class.

Photo Safari Scavenger Hunt

Explore the Prospect Park Zoo at your own pace with our fun photo scavenger hunt for High School and College students! Perfect for afterschool groups or college clubs, like green teams or environmental clubs, this adventure encourages team-building, fun, and learning about animals. This self-guided program includes zoo admission, scavenger hunt sheets, and barn food for the group.
