The Prospect Park Zoo Patch Program
Earn a Girl Scout Council of Greater New York patch during your visit. This self-guided program includes activities to complete at the Zoo, with a follow up activity to complete at a troop meeting. Patches can be purchased separately ($1.50 each) after your visit.

Girl Scout Earth Day Celebration
Saturday, April 20, 201311:00 am - 4:00 pm$7.00 per person ($8 per person if registering after April 10th)
Learn about composting, citizen science, Teens for Planet Earth, urban ecology, and Girl Scouts Forever Green. Make an environmental craft, play the Wheel of Ecology, complete activities towards nature badges and journeys, and even work on a "virtual patch" using your smart phone! Bring SWAPS to trade with other Scouts.
Each registered troop will receive an event patch for every girl, suggested Badge and Journey activities, Citizen Science activities, a copy of the self-guided Prospect Park Patch Program (earned patches will be available for purchase at the event), and special Earth Day handouts.

Attention, Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts: Take action for the Earth!
Whether you are working on an “It’s Your Planet, Love it!” Leadership Journey, planning a Silver or Gold Award project that will help the environment, or just looking to connect with teens around the world that care about the earth, Teens for Planet Earth is for you! Get project ideas, see what other teens are doing around the world, and submit your work for a T4PE Community Action Award that can help sustain your Silver or Gold Award project.
