Barn & Garden
Welcome to the barnyard! Sheep, goats, alpacas and miniature horses are some of the friendly animals you’ll find here. Beside the barn, a picturesque garden with a waterfall, wooden bridge, and pond attracts local ducks and butterflies.
What To See and Do
Feed a llama a snack.
Alpacas, goats, sheep, and other peckish critters step right up to enjoy a mouthful of grain from your outstretched hand.
Milk a cow: mid-May–mid-October
Try your hand at milking one of our Daisy Milker model cows. Each station comes equipped with a stool and a bucket!
Meet Aggie.
Say hello to Aggie the Dexter cow, a favorite of zoo visitors since 1993. Aggie appreciates a gentle pat on the nose, and fan mail.
Animal Encounters: Friday–Monday at Noon throughout Summer
Take a seat on a haystack and meet zookeepers and some of their favorite animals, like alpacas, owls, iguanas, and porcupines.
Storytelling Tuesdays and Games Thursdays: Summer, 11:00a.m–1:00 p.m. and 2:30–4:00 p.m.
Come to the barn stage and listen to animal stories read by some of our Zoo volunteers or play a game of Zingo (Zoo Bingo) with some new friends
